He's adorable!! I didn't know about your blog.
My best friend has leukemia, her husband has stomach cancer, my uncle lymphoma and lost my father in law to lymphoma. Mother in law had breast cancer, but beat it. My grandmother had colon cancer and beat it. Neighbor died of lung cancer.......its horrible, its everywhere it seems.

I am not sure that I know all the symptoms of ovarian cancer even though I am approaching the 33 year mark as a survivor. My surgery was 1/16/1976.
For me, I first experienced a cessation of my menses, a noticeable increase in size of my stomach area, general lethargy, and weight gain.
While lying on my back in bed one night, my hand was resting on my stomach and I noticed it felt firm like flesh, not soft like fat.
I made a Doctor's appointment and was told I was pregnant. To be fair the Doctor thought he picked up two heartbeats.
I had tried for a number of years, without success, to conceive. At my insistence, I was sent to another Doctor for an x-ray. There was no bone structure in the x-ray other than my own.
Within a week I had two cystoid tumors removed along with all the other female internal plumbing. Weight of the tumors was somewhere between 7-8 pounds, the best I can remember.
Blessings to all grappling with this horrible disease, and a thank you to Laurie for providing a link to this site.
I would consider it a privilege to be entered in your giveaway.

Debra,

I love snowmen and would love to be entered in your giveaway! My sister-in-law was just diagnosed with breast cancer - 20 years after successful treatment for it - last week. She had a bone scan on Monday and will know the results of that next week. She is scheduled for a mastectomy on 12/2 - the day before the sister of a friend is scheduled for a double mastectomy. I've enjoyed reading your blog and found you through Maryjane at The Beehive Cottage. The four symptoms that really surprised me are abdominal bloating, unexplained change in bowel habits, unexplained weight gain or loss and unusual fatigue.

Thanks for making me aware of how important it is to watch for more than one type of cancer.

Hello Debra,

I found your blog via Aunt MiMi's Creations.

Today is the 6th so I may be too late, but I thought I would try to enter your giveaway.

*Four signs of ovarian cancer are:
*Pressure or pain in the abdomen, pelvis, back or legs
*A swollen or bloated abdomen
*Nausea, indigestion, gas, constipation or diarrhea
*Feeling very tired all the time

And three more for good measure:

*Shortness of breath
*Feeling the need to urinate often
*Unusual vaginal bleeding

I think this blog is awesome. I myself have had many female problems throughout my life. I have alot of these symptoms and asked my doctor about them. Thank you for taking the time to encourage awareness.

Blessings,
Theresa in TX
